SURVIVORS OF THE SHATTERING
Centuries ago, Ethoria was a vibrant world of diverse civilizations, from the brilliant Elven archmages of Goldhaven to the stoic Dwarven clans of the Frostmark Jarldoms. The great nations, forged by all races, existed in a fragile balance of power and culture.
The cataclysm known as The Shattering destroyed this old world, giving rise to a new, human-centric Empire built from the ashes. Now, the descendants of the Lost Nations are treated with suspicion, their histories rewritten and their cultures suppressed under the guise of Imperial unity.
Whether by choice or by force, many of these survivors find themselves in the Imperial Levy, a disposable fighting force where all are considered equal. Here, among the disenfranchised of all races, a new legacy can be forged—one defined not by a forgotten past, but by the will to survive.
DEFINE YOUR CALLING
Your journey begins as a Blank Slate—an amnesiac conscript with no past. As you are processed into the Imperial Levy during the first quest, you will define your identity from the ground up, culminating in a critical choice: your class. This decision, made at the very start of your adventure, will determine your path and the powers you wield in the world.
Whether you choose the path of a ferocious Barbarian, an arcane Wizard, or a devout Cleric, your calling is yours to define. Master one of twelve classic classes, each offering a unique way to engage with the world, based on the familiar D&D 5.2 ruleset.
As you grow in power, you can specialize your calling into unique, world-specific archetypes. Will you become a disciplined Imperial Legionary, a resourceful Shattered Banner Veteran, or a chaotic Portal-Touched Sorcerer scarred by otherworldly energies?
